American Tae
Kwon Do
The University of Arizona (Tucson) ATA Club is an officially
recognized sports club (since 1991) associated with Young's ATA
Black Belt Academy. In addition to six hours of instruction and
physical training per week, the club also organizes trips to local
tournaments in Phoenix and a spring semester trip to the ATA Spring
National Tournament in Las Vegas. Many aspects of martial arts are
incorporated in our training. They include: Tai Chi, Protech
Weapons, Self Defense, Board Breaking, ground fighting, and
Sparring. Responsibility and self-discipline are also emphasized
along with self-control and safety.

Badminton
The club was formed to foster participation and competition in the
sport of badminton. This club meets twice week in the Student
Recreation Center to develop and improve the skills and knowledge of
its members. Participants have fun and gain lifelong leisure skills.
Baseball
(Men)
Men's Club Baseball is a competitive travel baseball club that plays some of the
best competition at large state schools in the U.S. We have college level
players with a goal to win the National Club Baseball Association's World
Series every year in Florida. We play in the Southern Pacific - East Conference
against NAU, ASU, and Embry-Riddle. We also play Southern California schools and
others such as: USC, USD, UCSB, and more. We have coaches to help our players to
succeed at the highest level possible. Please inquire for more info on the clubs

Bujinkan
Through teaching Budo Taijutsu, we empower students with a balance
of spiritual and physical training. We believe that a martial art,
which becomes a part of your life as you study it, should be a way
to improve your life and the lives of the people around you.
Capoeira
An Afro Brazilian Martial Art, Capoeira combines elements of
acrobatics, dance, music, and rhythm into an exciting art form that
is also a great workout.
Cycling
The club provides coaching and training rides to promote and improve
student cycling. The aim is to encourage and develop collegiate
cycling. The team competes in National Collegiate Cycling
Association (N.C.A.A.A.) sanctioned races and also in pro-am races
sanctioned by United States Cycling Federation (U.S.C.F) and
National Off-Road Bicycle Association (N.O.R.B.A.). The club creates
an environment conducive to bicycle riding at all levels through
activities such as group rides and social events.
Handball
To learn the game of handball and to compete on both the local and
intercollegiate level.
Ice Hockey
This club was formed in 1979 to provide collegiate ice hockey
competition for full time undergraduate students as well as sports
entertainment for the university and Tucson community. The Icecats
annually draw more than 100,000 fans at the Tucson Convention Center
a.k.a. "The Madhouse on Main Street".
Ice Hockey
(Women)
This club is for women of all skill levels interested in the sport
of ice hockey. It provides practices to learn basic skills and games
in which to practice these skills. The club also participates in
local and regional tournaments.
International/Olympic Tae Kwon Do
This club provides students with an opporunity to practice Olympic
(World Tae Kwon Do Federation) style Tae Kwon Do. Tae Kwon Do
is a kicking based martial art, and provides a great cardio work
out.

Lacrosse (Men)
The Laxcats are a competitive sports team that participates in the
Western Collegiate Lacrosse League. They have been a very successful
program since 1970. The lacrosse team has a no-cut policy,
encouraging newcomers to the sport to participate in the victorious
tradition of the Laxcats.
Lacrosse (Women)
The club is a member of the Western Women's Lacrosse League (W.W.L.L)
and participates in clinics, league matches, and tournaments. The
club welcomes players at any level in order to promote interest,
participation, and competition in women's lacrosse.
Paintball
The club is dedicated to promoting and supporting the sport of competitive paintball at the college level. Within this club is the competitive team, Arizona Wildcats, who will be competing against other colleges in the NCPA (National Collegiate Paintball Association) series.
Ritmos Latinos
The club is designed to teach members traditions of the dance style
known as Rueda de Casino, a salsa dance that originated in Cuba. It
also serves to promote community among our members & the greater
student, international, & Tucson Community through performances
& workshops.
Rugby (Men)
The University of Arizona Rugby Program was founded in 1969 to
teach, promote, enjoy, and excel in the international sports of
rugby. The club has a no-cut policy and encourages new members
interested in learning the sport; as a result they are one of the
largest sport clubs with 80+ members.
Rugby (Women)
The Women's Rugby club is a competitive team composed of students of
all skill levels. The club encourages athletes who have never played
rugby before to try the sport. They work to teach everyone the
basics which include tackling, passing, and kicking. The club plays
throughout the school year and travels to various tournaments and
matches.
Running
To promote health awareness and reduce levels of stress among
college students.
Shorin Ryu Karate
The Shorin Ryu group uses physical conditioning and mental
visualization to develop self-defense techniques and instill
physical fitness.
Soccer (Men)
A competitive club formed for the enjoyment of the game of soccer
and to compete against other collegiate club teams. The team's
season is mainly in the fall with the ultimate goal of reaching the
NIRSA National Collegiate Club Soccer Championship Tournament.
Soccer (Women)
This competitive team participates in league play against other
collegiate club programs in Arizona, California, New Mexico, and
Texas. Their main season is in the fall and their goal is to qualify
for the NIRSA National Collegiate Club Soccer Championship
Tournament.
Synchronized Swimming
The club strives to provide an opportunity to participate in
Competitive Synchronized Swimming. This includes practice,
competition, and performance opportunities for university students.
Table Tennis
This club typically meets Monday and Friday evenings for its members
to practice and play table tennis.
Tricats
The purpose of the Tricats Triathlon and Multi-sport Club is to
provide an opportunity for personal growth while promoting common
interest and fostering participation and competition in multi-sport
events. One of the main goals of the Tricats is to introduce new
members to the sport. Experienced members will guide new members
through training and races. The race experience ranges from having
competed in local Tucson triathlons to top ten rankings at the
collegiate championships.

Ultimate
Frisbee (Men's)
This club is dedicated to promoting and supporting the sport of
Ultimate. They are a competitive team that competes against other
clubs in U.P.A (Ultimate Players Association) sanctioned sectional,
regional, and national events.

Ultimate
Frisbee (Women's)
The women's ultimate frisbee club is dedicated to teaching and
promoting the sport of ultimate frisbee. All skill levels are
welcome, especially beginners. The club holds weekly practices, and
participates in clinics and tournaments, including the Ultimate
Player's Association's (UPA) College Championship Series in the
spring.
Volleyball
(Men)
The club seeks to offer students an opportunity to play competitive
volleyball at the intercollegiate club level. They field a
competitive team that plays in the A.A. division of the Cactus
Region of the United States Volleyball Association and consistently
participates in the NIRSA (National Intramural Recreational Sports
Association) Collegiate Club Volleyball Championships.

Women's Club Volleyball is dedicated to promoting and fostering
competitive intercollegiate volleyball. The club is a member of the
Mountain West Volleyball Conference and the National Intramural and
Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA). The club holds weekly
practices and participates in tournaments, including the NIRSA
Collegiate Club Volleyball Championships every spring.
Water Polo
(Men)
A club that promotes and develops water polo players and a positive
team environment. The club participates in the Southwest Conference
of the Collegiate Water Polo Association.
Water Polo (Women)
This club is for women of all swimming skill levels who want to
participate in a competitive team sport. Practices include teaching
the skills necessary to participate and conditioning for water polo.
The club participates in local, regional, and national tournaments.
Wing Chun
To promote the development of the martial arts and kung fu.
Wheelchair
Athletics
The club strives to provide equal access to athletic and
recreational activities for students with disabilities. The club
provides support for competitive team and individual athletic
achievement as well as appropriate recreational experience. This
includes a wide range of sports dependent on the changing student
interest. The primary competitive team experience includes
basketball and quad rugby. Other sports supported are weightlifting,
tennis, road racing, and skiing.
Wrestling
This club was formed to provide collegiate style competitive
wrestling for U of A students. The club practices regularly and
participates in local and regional meets.
