Family Programs and Camps

"A" Camp 2008

The "A" Camp is a certified child care program designed to improve the fundamental skills of children ages 5-12. Quality instruction will be provided by university students who have an interest in children and sports. Activities will include swimming, aerobics, court sports, kickball, movies, tumbling, educational sessions, games, arts and crafts. Our low staff to camper ratio of 1:8 assures each child special attention and instruction. There will be ten one week sessions.

New Parking and Drop-Off/Pick-Up Procedures for "A" Camp

Due to the construction of the Rec Center addition starting this summer the parking lot east of the building is no longer available to drop-off and pick-up.

We have made arrangements with Parking and Transportation to provide parking during drop-off and pick-up times in Lot 7105.

This lot is located south of 7th St. and east of Highland Ave. Parking permits will be provided as usual that will allow parents to park in that lot 7am-9am and again from 4-5pm. Lots are not monitored after 5pm. Maps of the lot will be provided in "A" Camp confirmation materials and also on the weekly permits.

We realize this is not nearly as convenient as previous years as we had a parking lot of few steps from our entrance and we apologize for any inconvenience this will cause.

Campers will need to walked in to the main entrance of the Rec Center and down to the north gym.

Do not park in lot 8106 or in Mansfeld Middle School parking lot.
